Is it really free?
FreeUK is a completely free ISP - we do not levy charges for providing our
service. The only costs you are likely to incur are your on-line time (charged at
local call rates) and technical assistance (if required).
FreeUK technical support
is charged at local call rates. Alternatively you can e-mail support@freeuk.com
but bear in mind there is a comprehensive support section on this site, which
will answer most questions. Our support lines are open from 9am to
9pm Monday to Saturday.
Why should I join FreeUK?
For those paying for a monthly subscription through an existing Internet
account, FreeUK is an ideal way to see if you really are getting your money's worth
through your current ISP. Alternatively, if you are interested in getting connected to
the Internet but do not want to commit to a paid-for subscription, why not give
FreeUK a try? After all, you have to nothing to lose.
Is FreeUK's support as good as that provided by 'paid for' ISP's?
At least as good.
Our agents are trained to deal with queries as quickly as possible
What if FreeUK is in danger of becoming oversubscribed?
We are making the commitment to our customers that if our systems reach operational capacity, i.e. taking on more customers will degrade the service, then we'll delay opening new accounts until more capacity is available. This is a unique commitment that no ISP has ever made. We won't compromise the quality of our service in order to enjoy a large customer base.
Is FreeUK targeting home or business users?
Both. All FreeUK accounts come with unlimited e-mail addresses and 25Mb of
webspace on which to construct a website. For businesses new to the Internet it
is often easier and cheaper to have separate Internet accounts rather than
commit to an expensive Internet solution.
What systems do FreeUK support?
PC with Win95, Win98, Win2000, WinME and WinXP, WinNT and iMac.
Is it be compatible with ISDN?
FreeUK is compatible with ISDN and supports other dial-in protocols such as V90.
